For your final blog post, please feel free to write about any topic related to the course. For example, you can reflect on what you have learned about in the course and your e-portfolio project and also discuss any future goals or plans you have to use technology in your classroom.
-Personally, I think it would be much better if I had more time to play around with websites and software that I was informed of here. I found this course really useful and necessary, but I couldn't fully dedicate myselt to this course due to my busy school life. I really wanted to spend more time on homework, but I just quickly finished doing homework not to fall behind. I would say I jus tasted this course a little bit. Creating my own blog and website was also fantastic experience. I just uploaded several pieces of writing now, maybe, I will decorate my blog and website with more useful information and learning meaterials for my students. I can make these places for communication with my students. As a techno phobia, it was novel experience to learn all these interesting, convenient tools.
Experience yourself~

Blog 7- homework- Review about smartphone apps; My Word Book & Word Challenge and Secondlife.
1. Search for a language learning application designed for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Provide a link to the application's website.
I have found 2 smartphone apps for learning English; My Word Book and Word Challenge, which were launched by British Council in Korea. And I also explored secondlife linked to moodle.seoultech.ac.kr, which was really interesting. I am going to talk about these 3 softwares.
2. Write a brief review of these applications that includes information about the app's functions.
2-1. My Word Book- It is for practicing new words after learning them. It has a function of note pad Students can write a short memo about a new word along with a example sentence. In this way, they can make a list of words that they have learned , reviewing whenever they want.
2-2. Word Challenge- It is a word game. Students can choose a specific topic and level of difficulty, and then each sentence with a blank pops up on the screen, students are supposed to fill in the blank. It is a multiple choice question. If students hesitate to choose a correct answer, they can't get a point since there is a time limit for each question. It has several interesting elements for game; time pressure, point system, choice of level. etc. I also tried to do and I felt so much absorbed.
2-3. Secondlife- It was like a online chatting site. As soon as I logged in, I felt a little bit afraid of being addicted to it. It has several addictive factors; virtual world, avatar, instant message, voice chatting, and using English. I had already chatted with 2 people from France and Brazil.
3. How they can assist or enhance the language learning process.
First, as for smartphone apps, while you are in a subway, or when you feel bored, it's a good way to kill time, while being exposed to learning English. I wouldn't say that it's the most effective way to learn Enlgish. But at least I can say that it's not boring. Nowadays, many students are addicted to mobile phone games or computer games. If they turn their interest into this kind of language game, it would be much better because they can be exposed to learning or using English.
Second, as for Secondlife, if you are good at self-control, I would recommend it to you and I would say that it's really good to meet people from different cultures. What is more, you can communicate with them in English! You might not need to attend a private language institute to learn English anymore. However, if you are vulnerable to addiction, I warn you to be careful. Simply, speaking, If you use these softwares in a positive way, it couldn't be better ways to improve your English proficiency.

Blog 6- homework -Review about Pixton and Domo goanimate
1.Write brief reviews about the two tools you used
I used Pixton to create cartoon and Domo goanimate to make an animation, which was quite fun. As for Pixton, just because I chose basic free function, I could use limited fuction, which makes it impossible for me to download pictures or insert pictures. As a result, I just could create a short dialogue about a specific topic. If I used advanced fuction, I think I could create better comics. In short, Pixton was good for making simple comics.
As for Domo goanimate, it was a kind of movie maker. I could create a simple animation with music. Personally, I think Domo goanimate is better than Pixton. I could insert music. The slide looks more dynamic.
2.How could these tools be used by teachers AND students? How could they be incorporated into a class?
As a teacher, if it is necessary, I can use these tools to make necessary materials for my class, and also I can teach students how to use these tools and make them create cartoons or animations about text related topic. I usuaally organize my own curriculum, which is content-based. Students are supposed to learn a theme or content through English. After learning about specific topic, I can ask students to make a videoclip. It can be a kind of advertisement or anything else. For example, I taught student " how to stop bullying at school". First, they read a newspaper article, which is involved in reading skills, and later, they listen to CNN News about the same topic, which is listening skills. Then, they have a debate class. Finally, they have time to write an argumentative essay or critical essay. In this way, students learn reading, listening, speaking and writing about the same topic. I have dealt with only 4 skills, but I can include one more step: making cartoons or animations about " how to stop bullying at school". It can be used for campaign. Or I can hold a cartoon or animation contest about several topics.

Blog5- homework- Review about lextutor, corpus and wordle
I have always used Naver English dictionary to find word frequency, collocation, proper usage of a word and example sentences of a word, etc. Whenever I face some difficult grmmatical points, I have to rely on a grmmar book. Since I am informed of these sites, I find them very useful. To be honest, there are too many functions that I didn't learn yet, so I just want to mention about something that took my attention .
1. Lextutor- As for learners, they take a kind of word text depending on their level, and as for teachers, they can make cloze test with a text. This can be easily used in class.
2. Corpus- Personally, I found this website most helpful. I can find word frequency as well as collocation. From lots of examples, I can learn proper usages of a word depending on different contexts. While making mid-term English questions, I used Corpus website a lot.
3. Wordle- Using this website, I think I can make a word puzzle after teaching a list of new words. I can put lots of words and make students find words that they already learned.

Blog4- homework- review about a podcast
http://www.ted.com/playlists/125/tv_special_ted_talks_educatio.html
A short review about a podcast that I have watched.
It's about American education. Since I am a teacher, education has always been one of my interests. Simply speaking, this podcast is about how to improve the quality or system of American education, and the show invited 9 people from different fields and asked them to deliver a short speech. I mainly focued on Bill Gates' talks because I couldn't agree more with his opinion; teachers really need real feedback to improve their teaching technique and skills.
It is often believed that the field of education in korea is the last place for innovation or change to occur. What does it mean? It means that improvement or innovation hardly happens at schools. Teachers are very relectant to accept changes. As one of public teachers, I don't want to agree with this idea, but it's true.
Which one do you think the most important among hardware, software and humanware to educate our students? Good facilities and well equipped classroom environment along with good program and curriculum is indispensible. However, teachers are the most important factors because students' quality cannot prevail teachers' quality. Teachers should be very sensitive about current pedagogical paradigm and changes. They should come up with the latest trend , should be open mind and constantly learn.
I was informed that most of knowledge that students learn at school is useless in society. We are teaching students dead knowledge which are not useful anymore! Basic liberal art is really important, but it should be applied based on changing society.
This podcast gave me a chance to retrospect myself as a teacher. Personally, I strongly prefer reading to listeing to radio or lectures because I am not auditory. I think auditory learners would benefit from listening to podcasts.

Blog3- homework-review about Skype and Voicethread.
I am going to compare Skype, one of synchronous CMC tools with Voicethread, one of ashnchronous CMC tools. Both of them is involved in video, but the only difference is time.
1) Brief descriptions of the tools and links to their website.
Skype is one of the most effective communication tools online. You can see the person's face that you are talking to. It's almost like real face to face conversation. I often use Skype to communicate with foreign friends that I used to hang out with before. However, Voicethread is a little different from Skype; you can record, edit, save and embed it to a website or e-mail to someone. It's not face to face conversation. You can use Voicethread to make a videoclip to upload on Youtube.
2) How do Skype and Voicethread support language learning?
Skype is very effective for video conference. I used to have video conferencs classes with a school located in Australia. To have a video conference class, you need to have a well equipped classroom and have a contract in advance with a foreign school to meet online at a specific time since loca time is different. I used to have video conferences with Australian schools since local time is similar. We decided on a topic which was quite appealing to teens and discussed it online. My students were really excited about it. As for Voicethread, I think that I can apply it to one of performance test, which means that I can give my students homework about a specific topic. They are supposed to research about the topic and summarize and record it like a reporter or announcer. Later, I can evaluate it. It's more like process-oriented task.
3) Some of your ideas of possible activities and ways that the tools could be used in a language class to supplement in -class content and instruction.
The same as NO 2.

Blog 2- homework-Review about a presentation tool, Prezi
http://prezi.com/lbhcuwbjzges/untitled-prezi/
I'm going to write a review about Prezi, which I was introduced to last year. At that time, I was shocked by the fact that I didn't know that there was such a wonderful presentation tool. I have always used "Powerpoint" which I believed as the best. However, as soon as I saw "Prezi", it made mme feel I am actually falling behind. Thanks to CALL, I had a chance to learn Prezi.
Basically speaking, Prezi has the same function as Powerpoint, but it's more dynamic and faster.Prezi has almost the same function as Powerpoint. As for its strengths, it's much easier to insert pictures from google image online immediately and it's also faster to move from one slide to another slide. However, there are also weaknesses; first, it takes longer to upload a videofile and to download a prezi file to my pc. What is worse, I couldn't use animation function as I did in Powerpoint. I think it's because I chose the basic prezi sample model in the first place when I subscribe to the website. Anyway, despite all these inconveniences, I am going to use Prezi from now on. Since I have always used Powerpoint for making vidual aids for my English class, I think I can use Prezi as the better substitute. Through many trials and errors, I can use it better. I made a warm up activity for reading, using Prezi; what is the golden ratio? I already embedded it into my google site. I also attached the general description about the activity into one of slides in Prezi file. It was fun to learn a new tool.
